The Nakheel Tall Tower is over double the height of the current tallest building in the world, the Burj Dubai. Currently under construction, many issues regarding the future of technology and engineering are crucial to the completion of the structure. As the building will be under construction for many years, issues regarding “future proofing” the landscape and “the landscape of the future” became the driving force for the development of the open space network including waterfront, plazas, retail center, and a large central park. A tent like structure which reacted not only to changes in temperature but also sun angle, humidity, and pollution, conditions the public spaces so they are suitable through the blistering summer. The tent, also known as “the bromilliad cloud” supports plant life. Bromilliads obtain their water from the humidity in the air, which in tern filters the air. (This project was contracted to BAM by Martha Schwartz, Inc.)

耐克黑尔要设计成为世界上最高塔。耐克黑尔高塔将是当今世界最高塔-----迪拜Burj的两倍多。 现在高塔正在修建,很多关于工艺学和工程学未来的问题成为了工程是否能够完工的关键。由于修建高塔要持续数年之久,所以关于“景观未来防护”和“未来景观”的问题变成了开发包括滨水区、广场、购物中心和大型中央公园在内的一系列空地网络的驱动力。帐篷状结构不仅能有效反应出天气的变化,而且能反应出太阳角度、湿度和污染程度。帐篷状结构调节着公共空间,这样,塔内的人们就可以舒服的度过炎炎夏日了。帐篷状结构又叫“菠萝云”,维系着塔内植物的生存与生长。菠萝云吸收空气中的湿气,并最终起到净化空气的作用。(该项目由BAM受玛莎.施瓦兹公司委托完成)
